Hosted Accommodation Australia has a long history of representing the interests of the owners of Australia’s bed and breakfast and farmstay businesses. It was formed as a national organisation in 2009, but its forerunners were the state-based associations, some of which had their beginnings in the early 1970s.

In the ’70s and up to the early 2000s it was necessary to be a member of an industry association to be eligible to advertise in official accommodation brochures. With the advent of the internet, those times have long gone. Now HAA members benefit

from promoting and receiving their bookings online and generating business with the assistance of the significant savings we can negotiate on their behalf for digital services such as channel managers. We have two distribution channels which deliver commission-free bookings, an arrangement that is exclusively for members.

Other member benefits are negotiated with our Supplier Partners to offer realistic and genuine discounts suited to small business in the areas of insurance, website design, merchant fees, digital coaching and much more. And when you add in the networking opportunities with fellow operators across Australia on HAA’s member forum, receiving updates on industry news and scam alerts, having the sector’s voice heard by state and the federal government, a full-time staffed office for assistance and a promotional listing on HAA’s consumer website, joining us is a ‘no-brainer’!
